Eleanor Rigby!

Its a cold sunday night and there is not really much to do, so i figures its a perfect time to do another blog entry or two, or seven!! Considering I need ten completed by next monday! The ballad Eleanor Rigby was a peom we read that was honestly not bad. For one it was written by members of the beatles and they also turned it into a catchy tune. Also I usued to have a babysitter named Eleanor, I'm not really sure why she comes to mind when reading this poem because there is not resemblance what so ever between my old babysitter and the Eleanor in this poem, it must just be the name. I don't think anyone would want to told they resemble Eleanor Rigby, i mean is someone said that to me i would feel insulted! Poor Eleanor is discribed as a very lonely woman, she acccually has a very sad life. The complete done of poem is sad. Eleanor is a woman who works at a church with father Mckenzie. In one part of the poem it describes Eleanor picking up rice after a wedding, she always dreamed of her own wedding and her own happiness but these dreams were never met. When Eleanor dies no one attends her funeral. Father Mckenzie was also another lonly character in this tragic story. Him and Eleanor woked together in the same church yet they didnt have any sort or relationship or even a friendship. Father Mckenzie writes the words to a serman that no one would hear. The world "lonely" is repeated numerous times through out the whole poem just to emphasize just how alone these characters really are, they both live alone and Eleanor dies alone. Sadly once again this poem is about death and it is quite depressing, reading these poems kind of make you feel good about your own life. This poem in particular makes me feel thankful for my friends and family. I know as long as i have them I will never live a sad lonely life, like that of Eleanor Rigby.
